In this article I look at the primary reason why the dreams of many online business owners and bloggers lie in tatters.The failure rate is very high, in the 90% bracket, for one fundamental reason.
Most new online marketers immediately throw themselves into the task of researching how to make money online and how to create a blog with the idea on many occasions of setting up multiple blogs, each of which will contribute a little to an overall financial empire. Or so the dream goes.
What occurs then is that the ambitious online blog owner sees that there are countless ways to make money online and is seduced by the various reports and claims of successful people in the various niches. And this is where the problem lies for the blog owner because with Adsense possibilities, affiliate marketing of physical products, electronic products, cost per action programs, squeeze pages, autoresponders the problem of paralysis by analysis sets in.
The opportunities seem endless and the blog owner makes the big mistake of continuing to research looking for the silver bullet which he hopes will send him to financial nirvana.
But what he fails to do is take action..and learn from his mistakes and pick himself up and try again. And this failure to take action is compounded when he does take action because rather than specialising in one area and starting by making, say, $10 in one area of activity and concentrating on it, he invariably ends up dipping his toes into one get rich quick program after another and ends up falling between a whole lot of stools.
In conclusion the 2 principal reasons for failure online are
1) failure to take action by searching, searching for one silver bullet magic formula
2) if he does take action he spreads his abilities, time and new found research across so many diverse areas of Internet Marketing that he fails to become proficient in 1 and gets totally disillusioned.
My advice is simple, and it is borne from experience.
Take action, stick with it, persist and concentrate on one narrow area of online business and become good at it and set a target of $1.
When you reach this target, set your target at $10 and so on.
